Welcome to the RAFYC PDF Print E-mail

If you are visiting us for the first time, please use the menus to get to know us and what we can provide. We are a friendly yacht club providing super facilities, a great social life and a relaxed, yet professional environment to support our members yachting and boating activities. We would like to think of ourselves as Your Home on the Hamble.

Did you know that you do not need to have had any RAF service to apply for membership of our Club? These days many of our members come from civilian backgrounds

RAFYC Monthly E-Shot PDF Print E-mail

The monthly e-shot is an invaluable method of communication between flag officers, staff and members. Not only does it list all upcoming events and rallies, it also gives the opportunity for the flag officers and staff to pass on club news and information to members, such as mooring availability and annual dinghy park renewal reminders.

If you are not currently receiving the monthly e-shot, please contact the office who will add you to the mailing list.

Thinking of Sailing South or West for the winter? PDF Print E-mail

If you're planning on joining the ARC this year, or of crossing the Atlantic solo, or just sailing towrds Maderira and the Canaries, you may be interested in the Ocean Cruising Club's "Eastern Atlantic Cruise in Company".  This takes place from September to November, starting in Porto, taking in meets in Portugal and Spain, Madeira, the Canaries, and finally Cape Verde.  It is a free format event - participants can choose which parts to join.  OCC ( members are all experienced ocean sailors, so it provides an excellent opportunity for less experienced sailors to cruise this route informally, but in the company of experienced sailors, and to continue beyond, as most participants reaching Cape Verde will be continuing to the Caribbean.
